Living in London means there’s always something going on. A new pop-up, restaurant, a store opening, a book signing, an exhibition, a new trendy drink. You name it, it’s happening.

With so much happening across London it can sometimes feel impossible to keep up with it all. Lucky for you, and me, there are plenty of people who do keep up to date with what is happening across London. Which makes it super easy for you and me to fun things to do in London.

Time Out London

Comprising of a Facebook account, website, blog and a magazine, Time Out London has you covered with fun things to do in London.

Expect guides, news and deals for restaurants, bars, gigs, film and theatre, events, attractions and more.

The magazine comes out every Tuesday and you can get it free across London—I, like many others, get mine as I enter the Tube of a Tuesday morning.

Secret London

I’ll leave it to Secret London to sum it up: We’re Secret London. We’ll be your guide to the city. We’ll stuff your face with street food and fill your lungs with London life. We’ll even make you smile on the Central Line. (Miracles can happen).

Londonist

While Secret London is a little more youthful and jokey, the Londonist is a bit more straight laced, or British, in its approach.

Londonist is about London and everything that happens in it. That means news, reviews and events; the history and future of London. We provide everything you need to know about the capital, as well as celebrating the quirks, eccentricities, hidden and surprising bits that make up the alternative side of the city. Upbeat and eclectic, Londonist is created by a diverse team of contributors who share a passion for London.

Bar Chick

Absolutely cracking website to find the perfect bar in London. Plug in the who, what, where and when of the type of bar you’re looking for and Bob’s your uncle.

Groupon

While not quite a a grouping of the hottest things happening across London, thanks to the discounts they’re probably the only things you can afford to do in London!

With food and drink experiences, getaways, spa days, hair treatments, gym deals and more, Groupon is great if you wanted to get the girls together for a high tea, try reformer pilates, get out of London for a weekend, or just get a cheap lunch for one.

Bookatable

Similar to Groupon, only Bookatable is just for restaurants. The premise is to book tables across restaurants in London, but what’s great are the star deals. Right now you can get three courses and a glass of champagne at Babylon at the Roof Gardens for £30-bargain!

If someone’s trying to think of the perfect place to take me, well there’s a subtle hint.

YPlan

A website and app, YPlan is all about making it as simple as possible to discover and then book tickets to events in London.

In their words: Our curators work tirelessly around the clock to bring you the best things happening in your ‘hood. Some last minute, some in advance. Our editors then pick out the hottest of the lot, while YPlan’s computer wizardry personalises it all to you – so you can get your social life sorted in a snap, whatever you’re craving.

Funzing

Fun things to do in London is in the title! Very similar to YPlan, find events online and buy tickets off the website.

I hope that helps to fill your calendar with fun things to do in London for 2017. Share what fun things you do in London in the comments below.

All about Rebecca

Hi there

I'm Rebecca, an Aussie girl, born and bred in Canberra.

In 2015 I packed my life into one 19kg suitcase and moved to London.

When I'm not exploring London and providing expat tips, I'm travelling. I'm just back from China and am now planning my 2017 travels.

I'm also a massive foodie who loves eating out and trying new things in the kitchen.

This is my little place to connect with people across the world to share my learnings and experiences in the hope that it inspires or helps you.

Thanks for reading and I hope you find something you love on What Rebecca Loves.
